The Berean Score
The continuous church-health read inside TMOS — the Troika Church Score. The Bereans “examined the Scriptures… to see if what Paul said was true.” This is a church examining itself against the Word. Self-examination, not platform-grading. A mirror, not a verdict.
Most churches find out their leader is burned out, their volunteers feel used, or their members feel unseen — six months too late. TMOS reads your church's health continuously, so you find out in time to respond.
The ABC spine — Galatians 5:22–23
Attitude
Love · Joy · Peace
The inner posture — the heart's orientation.
Behavior
Patience · Kindness · Goodness
How the inner life shows up in action.
Character
Faithfulness · Gentleness · Self-Control
The formed, durable self, proven over time.
Four constituencies — weighed equally
A church is only as whole as its least-shepherded room. The Berean Score reads all four equally — no constituency outweighs another.
Leader Health
Leading from formation, not fumes — non-anxious, accountable, still being shepherded themselves.
Staff Health
Carried, not used. Clear, supported, formed in the work rather than consumed by it.
Volunteer Health
Serving from overflow — known by name, shepherded, never running on empty.
Member Health
Seen and being formed — belonging before expectation, moving along the pathway.
The Member's Witness · Ephesians 4:11–16
Read in both directions
The church reads the member — and the member reads the church. The same nine fruit, both directions. This is the literal Berean act: the congregation checking whether the message is true to Scripture, so the body is built up until we all reach maturity in Christ.
How the Weekly Read works
- ·Member-owned structured self-read — the Shepherd never reads private note text.
- ·Always anonymous — only formation bands, never names or note content.
- ·Broken down by constituency, and optionally by ministry department.
- ·Cell-size floor of 10 per breakdown — no small group is ever de-anonymized.
- ·Weekly cadence off real engagement — no engagement, no read; never a stale annual number.
The bands — plain English
The Berean Score is shown as a formation word, never a number to leaders. A church is a living thing, not a grade.
What the Berean Score is not
A verdict on salvation?
No. The Lord looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). A tool does not.
A leaderboard?
No. Never church-to-church comparison. A mirror, not a ranking.
Works-righteousness?
No. Fruit is evidence of the Spirit's work, not a wage earned.
Surveillance?
No. Anonymous, consent-based, member-owned. Audit-logged access only.
